PDFZilla is a desktop application that quickly and accurately converts PDF files into editable MS Word Documents, Rich Text Documents, Plain Text Files, Images, HTML Files, and Shockwave Flash SWF Files.
Pros: PDFZilla is a handy converter that converter PDF documents to several other document formats. These include the MS Word group of DOC, Rich text and plain text formats. PDF to HTML conversion and PDF to shockwave Flash features are also available. The application also can convert PDF documents to images of several formats that include JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG, TIF etc.
The interface is straightforward. The possible conversion commands are grouped together under buttons marked PDF to Word converter, PDF to Image converter, PDF to TXT converter, PDF to HTML converter and PDF to SWF converter. Choosing any one of the button takes you to similar screens where you are able to collect a batch of files to be converted. On the setting side the settings are specific to that group. For example in the PDF to Image conversion group you get to select the image format the PDF file should be converted to.
Cons: True to the reservations about version 1.0 this program came up with problems with the very first PDF file conversion I tried. While general structure came out to be alright there was couple of very irritating problems. All the heading lines in the PDF document when converted to DOC had a mixed case in them. Letters became upper case randomly. The section numbers appeared three times. Once in black and two more times in red.
Overall: I am sure the situation will improve in later versions. This version, in all fairness cannot be rated beyond a good 2 star level.
